Last week, I was invited to the flagship Xfinity store to learn about some of their new features. We had recently given our own Xfinity account an upgrade so I was looking forward to learning how I could maximize what we are paying for.

And boy did I learn a lot! And, while I could write a book on the things I learned about what I can do with my Xfinity xFi, it was really Xfinity Mobile that blew my mind.

Xfinity Mobile is a new wireless service, with Internet and data at the center of the experience. Xfinity Mobile is the nation’s first wireless service combining America’s largest, most reliable 4G LTE network with Comcast’s 18 million WiFi hotspots to provide customers with a better wireless experience, for less money, on today’s most popular devices.

To prove just how great Xfinity Mobile is, we were encouraged to compare our current mobile bill with their services. And, you guys, I am paying way too much! Which means you are probably too.

Let’s take a look.

One of the reasons why I have stayed so loyal to my current mobile provider is that I have a grandfathered unlimited plan. You can’t walk into their stores and get it anymore. Being a blogger and always on the go (and on my phone), I need an unlimited a plan. I didn’t think I would ever find that again. Well, you can get that now with Xfinity Mobile. Simple, straightforward data options that includes up to five lines with unlimited nationwide talk and text, no line access fees and 100MB of shared data.

If you don’t need an unlimited plan, they have just the right thing for you! You can save money by paying only for the gigabytes of data that you use, or consume all the cellular data you want for one set price. We have a mix of high data users and those who barely reach a gig each month. Which brings me to…

Flexibility for families to mix-and-match on an account so each person can choose the way to pay for data that makes sense for them! That means everyone on your account doesn’t have to have the same plan. My husband, for example, doesn’t really use his phone enough to warrant an unlimited plan. He could pay by the gig each month saving us a ton of money. And if he needed more, he can simply switch his plan. Yes, switch it! There are no penalties for switching back-and-forth between data options at no cost!

So let’s look at the numbers, because they really tell the true story here. I have to admit, I’m a bit embarrassed to show you just how much we pay a month for our mobile phones. Especially after you compare it to Xfinity Mobile!

Some things to keep in mind. We have 3 phones and 1 iPad on our current plan. I only priced out the 3 phones with Xfinity and deducted that from our current plan billing.

So when will be switching? As soon as our current contract is over! I am literally counting the days to savings!
