Disclosure: I made a delicious meal with Campbell’s® Sauces as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. All opinions are my own. #CampbellsSauces

When the New Year started, I promised myself that I was going to meal plan more often. Over the holidays, we got into the bad habit of ordering in and going out. Not only was this hurting the bank account but I missed a meal at home at our dinner table. I made the decree that January 1st was going to be a new beginning and we would be eating home most nights.

I would like to tell you that have been in the kitchen every night making dinner. If I did that, I would be lying. Don’t get me wrong, I had a good go at it in the beginning but then life happens. From late night work meetings to people being sick to just not having any idea of what to cook for dinner, our old habit started creeping back up.

But there has been one saving grace. My slow cooker. I have been using my slow cooker a lot lately. Using it helps me save some time in the kitchen and makes the house smell wonderful during the day. But the biggest bonus is knowing that dinner will be ready at the end of the day with very little effort.

When you use your slow cooker so often, you tend to run out of ideas. And you can only eat the same thing so many times over and over again. When I was introduced to Campbell’s® Sauces last year, I couldn’t wait to try the slow cooker sauce. Campbell’s® Slow Cooker Sauces only take 5 minutes of prep time. Simply add your meat and sauce and let your slow cooker do the rest of the work.

You have absolutely no idea how delicious this Tavern Style Pot Roast smelled all day cooking. As I was sitting working and smelling what was coming from the kitchen, I knew dinner was going to be a hit.

And it was! My kids can be a little picky (ok, a lot picky) especially when it comes to new dinners. But there was no complaining that night! I even think someone asked for seconds. A rarity in and of itself!
