I am in the final count down until school is over for the summer. And, if I am bring honest, I am starting to panic. I have a loose summer schedule and I have been searching all over for inexpensive activities for us to do.

And I am starting to get overwhelmed!

There are so many things that I would love to do with the kids this summer. I want it to be fun and I want to make a lot of memories with them. I want to shut the computer down, throw the smartphone in my bag, and just be there with them. In the moment.

And then I feel the pressure! The pressure to make this the best summer ever. In reality, I know anything that I do with them will make it the best summer with them. I don’t need to plan over the top excursions or take them on lavish trips. They just want me to be there.

So I declare this the summer of us! This summer, I really want to get to know my children, at this age, at this stage in their lives. There will come a time (and it’s coming quickly) where they will not want to be around me so much, where I will embarrass them, and it will no longer be cool to be with mom so much.

The summertime is the perfect time to unplug, relax, and just be. And even though we will be going on day trips and vacations, like Kennywood, the zoo and aquarium, and Dutch Wonderland, the focus will be on them. On what they want to do not what I have to do.

I want this to be the summer that they never forget!

Bing Rewards can help this summer be the summer of us! While I search for things to do, travel destinations, museums, local events and more online, I can earn points towards the things we like to do most! I’m already searching online every day, it’s time I start getting rewarded for it. Earn Bing Rewards points towards airline miles, gas points, summer blockbuster entertainment, Starbucks, or Amazon among many other possibilities.
