Make these Chocolate Dipped Oreo Pops in less than 10 minutes for a fun, Spring treat!

Somehow I managed to get myself involved in my son’s PTA. Some how, I have quickly learned, that I don’t know how to say no. But it’s ok! Being involved in the school means I know what is going on and I get to be present in the school for special events.

My latest undertaking was coordinating Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Each elementary school needed to provided 13 dozen “fancy” baked goods to be placed in a “Thank You” bag for the bus drivers. Surprisingly, it was not hard to get people to volunteer for this. Even though my own child does not ride a bus to and from school, I know that the job of a school bus driver is not easy. So I really put some thought in what I was going to make.

Time not being on my side, I decided to make a few chocolate dipped items. They are easy. They are quick. And they always look amazing!

First up, Oreo Pops!

These are really simple to make and, the best part, the kids can help you! Just make sure you count your Oreos out because they will try and sneak some when you aren’t looking.

How to Make Oreo Pops

You will need:

  • One bag of Oreos
  • White Chocolate Melts {I used the Super White ones}
  • Lollipop Sticks
  • Sprinkles

I wanted these to be perfect for Spring since we were handing them out on the First Day of Spring. I picked up Wilton’s Nonpariels in a Spring mix. These would also be great for a baby shower or Communion favors.

Now that you have all of your supplies, it’s time to start making some Oreo Pops!

1. Twist off the tops of the Oreos.

2. Melt a handful of white chocolate melts {you don’t need a lot} in the microwave. Dip your lollipop stick into the melted chocolate to use as glue.

3. Place the lollipop stick to one side of your Oreo. I found it “stuck” better to the cream side. Place the other side onto the Oreo and gently press down. Don’t press too hard or your Oreo will break in half! Let set until the chocolate firms.

4. Melt the rest of your chocolate in a mug or tall glass. Dip your Oreo into the melted chocolate. Tap the lollipop on the side of the glass to remove the excess chocolate. Again, be gentle!

5. Place your Oreo Pop decorations into a shallow dish.

6. Dip your Oreo Pop into the shallow dish to coat the front of your Pop. If you are using larger decorations, place your Oreo Pop onto a baking sheet covered with wax or parchment paper and decorate.

7. You have a pretty decorated Oreo Pop!

8. Place your Oreo Pops on the lined baking sheet to harden. When you are done pop them in the fridge or freezer to make sure the chocolate is firm. Once your pops are dry, they are ready to be packaged…or eaten!
