We all know that I have had a sense of drowning when it comes to being a newly stay at home mom. When I sat down and wrote this guest post, I completely forgot to take a step back and follow my own advice!

And you know, since I have two kids and I am now a mommy authority, I know it all! Yeah right, who am I kidding? I’m still trying to figure out this out and most days I am flying by the seat of my pants.

There are, however, a few things I have managed to figure out in the past three years.
1. Coffee is your best friend. It will always be there for you. Whether its at 3 am or 9 pm, your BFF is there ready and waiting for you.

2. Who needs sleep? Especially when you have that new BFF to help you out. There will be days when you think you will not be able to carry on because you are so delirious from lack of sleep. But guess what? You will carry on. That bundle of joy isn’t going to change his own diaper.

3. There is nothing wrong with rocking the yoga pants. You did just have a baby afterall. I like to trick myself {and possibly others) into thinking that I just left the gym after a killer workout when in fact, I just don’t have the energy to pick out a decent outfit {see #2.}.

4. You can use the excuse “I just had a baby” for a pretty long time when it comes to excuses for not shedding the baby weight. Let’s face it. I’m still using that excuse from the first kid!

5. Nobody is perfect. I don’t care how good her hair looks or that her clothes aren’t wrinkled. Girlfriend is having her baby drama too. Don’t let her styled coif and puke free clothes fool you. She’s suffering on the inside just like you.

So sit back with your cup of joe, enjoy your comfy yoga pants {oh and the baby too} and just go with the flow! It’s gotten me to this point. and, so far, everyone has survived!
