In a school lunch rut? This printable school lunch planner will help save you time when it comes to packing lunches!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc. All opinions are entirely my own.
We are officially back to the school routine. Thankfully, it was an easy transition this year. But one thing that is still giving us a little bit of a headache are school lunches. I can thank my extremely picky eater on that one. Just when I think I have his likes and dislikes figured out, he changes his mind.
One of the things that I found has worked for us is using a school lunch planner. Not only does this help me when I go to ACME Markets to do my weekly shopping for groceries but it also gets the kids involved in packing their own lunches.
Like any picky eater, chicken nuggets are always a go-to for our school lunches (they are also great for quick dinner ideas!). I mastered the art of keeping food warm with a thermos a few years ago and chicken nuggets work really well! Not only do they stay warm but they also stay crispy.
But the key to packing chicken nuggets for lunch is choosing the right kind. Tyson® chicken products are made with a long-standing dedication to quality, for the way we want to eat today. Tyson chicken products are raised with no antibiotics ever and made with 100% all natural* ingredients (*No artificial ingredients, minimally processed). You can find specially marked Tyson chicken (including nuggets, strips, Any’tizers® snacks and drumsticks) made with no antibiotics ever at your local Albertsons retailer.

And Tyson Foods, Inc. knows about chicken! The people who make Tyson chicken products have a strong heritage of raising Chickens since 1935! It’s no wonder that they are my kids’ favorite and why we always have Tyson chicken nuggets and crispy chicken strips in the freezer!
To make my life easier, I sat down with the boys to make a list of lunch ideas. We broke it down into categories: main food items (like chicken nuggets), fruits and veggies, snacks, and drinks. We added their favorites and then some things that they would like to try for lunch.
I then took their suggestions (added a few of my own) to create this printable school lunch planner so we can sit down on Sundays and plan out lunches for the week. We also consult the school lunch calendar to see what they would like to buy for the week.
School Lunch Planner Printable
We have been using this school lunch planner for a few weeks and let me tell you it has definitely cut down on the stress over packing school lunches! It helps to make sure the kids aren’t eating the same thing over and over again. It’s good to switch it up a bit! And it also helps them help me pack their school lunches.
You can’t pack chicken nuggets without a great dip! Our family favorite is Honey Mustard. Skip the prepackaged dip and make it at home. It’s super simple and easy!
