Growing up, my mom always brought the same thing to family functions, Cinnamon Swirl Cake. It was a staple. You just knew she would bringing one. It was the perfect ending to a night with family and it went well with a cup of coffee.

Last week, my family was getting together so I called my mom for her recipe. I wanted to make something fall-ish, something everyone would eat, and, most importantly, easy to make. I just didn’t realize how simple it was. When my mom told me it was just a box mix, pudding mix, and some wet ingredients, I about dropped the phone.

All these years, I thought she was slaving over this!
