In a few days, we will be headed into the month of November. A month of gratitude and thanks. With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays amping up, it’s hard to lose sight of this. It sits on the back burner until we are sitting at the Thanksgiving table sharing what we are thankful for.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. With a little bit of planning, you can have an entire month of being thankful and sharing that with everyone you know and meet.

Plan with Me: 30 Days of Thanks

To help us all feel a little more thankful in the month of November, I created a list of 30 days of Thanks. The best part about this list is that anyone can do them. Do them alone or do them as a family. They are simple acts of kindness that will help brighten someone’s day.

Here are a few of my favorites!

  • Drop off a donation to your local food bank.
  • Send a card to a service member.
  • Buy coffee for a stranger.
  • Tell a store/restaurant manager how good your service was.
  • Invite someone who doesn’t have family over for Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Send dessert to another family at a restaurant.
  • Leave money for a snack in a Redbox rental.
  • Donate socks/gloves/scarves to a homeless shelter.

To help with the planning part, I put together this handy print-out for 30 Days of Thanks. Print out a copy for yourself and hang it on your fridge or keep it in your planner. Just make sure you keep it somewhere where you will see it each and every day!

The best part of doing 30 Days of Thanks is that it will help this become a habit. By completing an act a day, it will just start becoming a part of your everyday routine. And who doesn’t want to be thankful each and every day. And you just may notice it catching on with others in your lives!
